When I was growing up I was taught to never click on advertisements because they were considered "Viruses" or "Spam". Well sometimes this is true, BUT, if you see something that you really want and it is displayed in an advert, and it looks legit enough it is safe to click on it to see what it is about. Maybe there is a product on there that you might want, or maybe it is just a cool website that you can go back to later. Here are a few tips for when you click on adverts.
1. Never download ANYTHING from an advertisement that says it will allow you to watch some video, because more than likely it is not a video codec but maybe it is spyware.
Definitely Avoid these because they are viruses |
2. If you are unsure about a website do a little research on it, Google it and ask if it is a legit site. Most of the time there are other people out there with your question, and it is even more likely that someone has dealt with them before.
Not sure, just ask. |
3. If there is something that seems too good to be true, chances are it is. If there is an advertisement saying you won a free car (or anything of that sort) chances are you have to do a million tasks just to get this "Free car" and those tasks may include inputting important information into their website. Avoid this.
Avoid these ads |
Remember Advertisements is the way some people run their websites, and keep their stuff going. So if there is something you like on a website and it is an advertisement don't be afraid to click on it, it might be worth your while.
(sorry if I jumped around a little, I have bad A.D.D and I get distracted easy, I am trying to fix it.) As always please comment and tell me what you think, subscribe if you can. Have a good one everybody.
